Georgian terraces and a park at the end of the road

Westbrook neighbourhood, Aldermouth

Westbrook grew along the brook that gives it its name, first with Georgian terraces for merchants who wanted air, then with the Victorian streets that fill the gaps.

It is the part of the city where families tend to settle. Schools are within walking distance, the park has a bandstand and a small cafe, and the main-line station makes it possible to live here and work anywhere in the region.

Prices reflect that. The best streets rarely have more than a handful of homes for sale at a time, and good houses are often sold quietly. Register with us for alerts.
