The house
The Torre was a dovecote: a tall stone tower where, three centuries ago, a landowner kept pigeons for the table and for the post. It stood empty for sixty years with the swallows. When we found it, the roof was open to the sky and there was a fig growing through the second floor.
We gave it back the one thing it never had, which is a reason to climb. Each level is a single room. The ground floor is the kitchen and a table for two; above it a bathroom with a stone bath under a round window; then the bedroom; then, at the top, a roof deck with a low parapet and a long view of the coast.
The plunge pool is cut into the terrace below, facing the water. It is not a swimming pool, it is a cold, deep place to be quiet in, which suits the house. If you want a lot of space, choose another villa. If you want to watch the light change on the sea for four days with someone you like, this is the one.

It is a tower. Four flights of stairs, no lift and no way to make one; we do not recommend it for anyone with limited mobility.

No children under 12 and no extra guests; we keep it for couples and solo travellers.

Mobile reception is good, but the tower has no television on purpose.
We proposed on the roof and said yes at the same time. The coffee machine is better than the one at home, which is a small thing, but still.
