About Casalta

A calm, sunlit website for a family company that rents a small collection of holiday villas, shown here as the fictional Casalta with eight restored stone houses in an invented hill region. Search by dates, guests, bedrooms and features with a list view and a schematic map, then a villa page with a lightbox gallery, drawn room plans, amenities, house rules and distances, and a two-month availability calendar that applies seasonal rates and minimum stays and breaks down the price with cleaning, tourist tax and deposit before a booking request. A region guide, experiences, a journal and a FAQ around it. One designed light mode in Marcellus and Libre Franklin. Astro and Tailwind CSS 4.

Best for villa and holiday home rental companies, property managers with a handful of houses, agriturismi, and the agencies that build their sites.

Features

  • Search and map

Filter the villas by dates, guests, bedrooms and features (pool, sea view, step-free and more), sort them, and switch between a list and a schematic SVG map with pins. Every filter lives in the URL and carries the chosen dates to the villa page.

  • Availability calendar

Two months at a time with booked stays blocked, arrival and departure rules, and the minimum stay of the season of arrival. Calendar days are real buttons with date labels.

  • Seasonal pricing

Seasons as month-day windows per villa (wrapping the new year), with a nightly rate and minimum stay each. The quote groups nights by season and adds cleaning, a capped tourist tax and the deposit.

  • Booking request

Guest details and add-on experiences posted with the dates and the estimated total as JSON to the endpoint you set; demo mode sends nothing.

  • Villa pages

Eight villas, each with its own accent colour, a lightbox gallery in one of three layouts, drawn room plans with bed glyphs, amenities, house rules, distances and a guest note.

  • Region and extras

A region guide with six places on the map, six add-on experiences, the family's story, a three-post journal and a FAQ.

  • SEO built in

LodgingBusiness, VacationRental per villa with rooms, occupancy and amenities, TouristAttraction, FAQPage, Article and BreadcrumbList structured data, Open Graph and a sitemap.

Casalta FAQ

Does the booking request take real reservations?

No. The calendar and quote run in the browser and the request form posts JSON (villa, dates, guests, estimated total, contact, add-ons) to formEndpoint in src/config/site.ts. With null it runs in demo mode and sends nothing. Point it at Formspree, a webhook or your reservations API, and always recompute the price on the server.

How do I set seasonal rates and minimum stays?

Each villa's Markdown file has a rates block: seasons as MM-DD windows with a nightly rate and minimum stay, first match wins, plus the cleaning fee, tourist tax per guest per night with a cap on nights, and the deposit. The same pricing code builds the rates table and the browser quote.

How is availability kept up to date?

Booked stays are a blocked list in each villa file (arrival day to departure day). The README explains how to fill it from your channel manager or reservation system at build time instead, with a custom content loader or a CI step.

Do I need a Google Maps or Mapbox account?

No. The map is a drawn SVG of the invented region with pins placed by coordinates from 0 to 100, so there is no API key. You can redraw it for your area or replace it with an embedded map: the pins only need an id, label, position and link.

Are the photos included?

Yes, ten AI-generated photographs ship with the template, with the prompts in src/assets/PROMPTS.md. The eight villas reuse them with different crops, so real photographs of each house are strongly recommended.

Does it pair with a dashboard?

Yes. Staybook, the hotel PMS dashboard, is its back-office sibling: same vocabulary of properties, stays and guests, no shared code. The README shows how to post a booking request to a reservations API as a pending stay. Each is sold separately.

Is there a dark mode?

No. Casalta ships one designed light mode; colours are CSS variables at the top of src/styles/global.css, and each villa can pick its own accent (terracotta, olive, ink or ochre).

When can I buy Casalta?

Casalta is coming soon: the live demo is online, and it goes on sale on Gumroad shortly at $29 USD, a one-time purchase with free updates.

Can I use Casalta for a client project?

Yes. The license covers personal and commercial projects, including client work. Reselling or redistributing the template itself is not allowed.

Casalta is coming soon. The whole demo is already online.
