Nervous visitors

If the dentist makes you nervous, start here

Dental anxiety is common and nothing to be embarrassed about. Here is how we work with it.

A bright reception area with plants and a pale oak desk

A surprising number of people put off dental care for years because of one bad memory. If that is you, you are in good company, and nobody here will tell you off.

You can just come and look

Visit the practice without an appointment, or book a first visit that is only a chat. Sit in the chair, if you like, with nothing happening.

Say what you would like

Some people like a running commentary. Others prefer silence and headphones. Tell us, and we will do it your way.

A signal that always works

We agree a signal, usually a raised hand, before anything starts. When you use it, we stop. That small promise changes things more than almost anything else.

Small steps

We can split treatment into short visits, and take as many breaks as you need. Sedation is available for some treatments; ask us about it.

You set the pace

There is no such thing as a silly question here. The best first step is simply to book.
