Helen founded the firm with Daniel Vale in 1998 and has been managing partner since 2021. She leads the corporate team and still takes the first call on many new matters.
Her clients are mostly owner-managers selling, buying or bringing in an investor. She is known for short documents, direct advice about price and risk, and for telling clients when a deal is not worth doing.
Outside the office she chairs the trustees of a small community arts charity, and she insists that every new lawyer reads their own engagement letter aloud before sending it.

What a share purchase agreement leaves to the disclosure letter
The warranties in a share purchase agreement are only as useful as the disclosure that qualifies them. How sellers and buyers should treat the letter that nobody wants to write.
