Contract review

Pull the terms that matter out of agreements and amendments, and flag the clauses that differ from your playbook.

Legal teams do not need a machine to tell them what a clause means. They need to stop rereading forty agreements to find which ones renew in March, who carries which liability cap, and where the wording drifted from the template.

Terms, not summaries

Tessera extracts discrete terms against a schema you control: parties, dates, renewal and notice periods, payment terms, liability caps, indemnities, governing law, termination rights. Each value carries the clause text it came from and the page it sits on, so a lawyer verifies in one click rather than trusting a paraphrase.

Compare against your playbook

Upload your preferred wording and your fallbacks. For each clause type, the agent classifies the contract’s wording as matching the playbook, matching a fallback, or something else. “Something else” is held for counsel, with the playbook text and the contract text side by side and the differing phrases marked.

Amendments and renewals

An amendment is read in the context of its parent. Tessera links the two, restates the terms the amendment changes, and keeps the history so you can see what applied on any date. Renewal and notice dates feed a tracker and a calendar task, early enough to act.

What it does not do

It does not give legal advice, negotiate, or sign. It makes the reading faster and the evidence visible, and it leaves the decision with the people qualified to make it.
