About Juniper

A stationery-inspired wedding website for the couple and their guests: a home page with a live countdown, our story in six chapters, the weekend programme with dress codes and a calendar file per event, an RSVP that finds the invitation by name and asks each guest about every event, dinner and dietary needs, travel with shuttles and hotel blocks, a registry with funds and gifts, a gallery with a lightbox and a FAQ. Hidden from search engines by default. Astro and Tailwind CSS 4.

Best for couples planning a wedding, wedding planners and venues, and developers building a wedding site for friends or clients.

Features

  • Step-by-step RSVP

Find the invitation by name, answer each event for each person, choose a dinner with children's options, add dietary needs, a song and a message, review and confirm with a reference.

  • The weekend

Five events from welcome drinks to Sunday brunch, each with times, place, dress code and a calendar file, plus one for the whole weekend.

  • Private by default

One switch puts noindex on every page, disallows robots and skips the sitemap; the README explains how to add a password at the host.

  • Our story

Six dated chapters from how they met to the wedding day.

  • Travel and stay

Shuttle timetable, four hotels with distances, prices and room-block codes.

  • Registry and gallery

Honeymoon funds and gifts with links, and a photo gallery with a keyboard-friendly lightbox.

  • Countdown and monogram

A live countdown to the ceremony and an SVG monogram and juniper sprig set in Bellefair, Mulish and Pinyon Script.

  • Event structured data

The wedding as an Event with a subEvent per programme item, plus FAQPage and BreadcrumbList.

Juniper FAQ

Will my wedding site show up in Google?

Not by default. NOINDEX_BY_DEFAULT in src/config/indexing.mjs is true, so every page carries noindex, robots.txt disallows everything and no sitemap is built. Set it to false for a public site. The live demo is built with PUBLIC_DEMO=1, which turns noindex off so it can be indexed.

Can I password-protect it?

Noindex is polite, not a lock. The README lists how to add a password with Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Access or HTTP Basic auth on any static host.

Where do RSVP replies go?

Nowhere until you set site.rsvp.endpoint in src/config/site.ts. The page then posts the reply as JSON to Formspree, a Google Apps Script web app that writes to a Google Sheet, or any webhook such as Make, Zapier or n8n.

Is the guest list private?

The demo searches guests.json in the browser, so the names are visible in the page source. That is fine behind a password; for a public site the README explains moving the lookup to a server function.

How do I change the programme?

Each event is a Markdown file in src/content/events with its date, times, place, dress code and whether it serves dinner. The home page, weekend page, calendar files, RSVP and structured data all follow.

Is there a dark mode?

No, by design: Juniper is light only, like printed stationery. Colours are tokens in the @theme block of src/styles/global.css.

When can I buy Juniper?

Juniper is coming soon. The live demo is complete; the template goes on sale at $29 shortly.

Can I use Juniper for a client project?

Yes. The license covers personal and commercial projects, including client work. Reselling or redistributing the template itself is not allowed.

Juniper is coming soon. The whole demo is already online.
