Eight houses for eight kinds of week
How we match a family, a couple or a group of friends to a villa, in a few honest sentences each.
By Livia Rossetti, Host, Casalta
The most common email we get is a version of: “We are six, one is a toddler and one is a dog. Which house?” It is also the easiest to answer, because our houses are not interchangeable and we do not pretend they are.
If you want a week without a car, take Casa del Fico: the village is at the door and the baker is next to it. If you need step-free access without compromise, Casa Cisterna is built for it. For two people who want to be alone, there is only the Torre.
For a reunion or a big birthday, Podere Alloro was designed for it, and nothing else we have quite matches its kitchens. For a quiet week of design and a long view, Villa Rosmarino. For a sociable week with good food, Ginestra. For history and atmosphere, Il Frantoio. For walking, La Pietraia.
And if you are still undecided, write to us. We read every message ourselves, and we would rather lose a booking than send a family to the wrong house.
