About Kruncho
A loud, night-first website for a kebab, crispy chicken and loaded fries spot: a menu board with spice levels, allergens and combos, a build-your-own page that stacks the order on a tray with a live price, a cart with pickup or delivery, fees and minimums, a sauce wall with heat ratings, deals and a stamp card, three locations with live open or closed status past midnight, party trays and jobs. Night mode by default, day mode toggle. Astro and Tailwind CSS 4.
Best for kebab shops, fried chicken and burger joints, food trucks, late-night takeaways and the agencies that build their sites.

Kruncho FAQ
Does Kruncho take real orders or payments?
No. The builder, cart and ticket run in the browser and keep the order in localStorage; nothing is sent or charged. The README describes three ways to connect it: link out to a hosted ordering page, send the cart to a serverless function that opens a hosted checkout, or push the order to a POS API.
How do I change the menu and prices?
Every item is one entry in src/content/menu.json with its category, price, combo flag, spice level, allergens and dietary marks. Sauces live in sauces.json and the build-your-own options in src/data/builder.ts.
Is the halal label mandatory?
No. It is a setting: dietary.halal.show in src/config/site.ts hides every halal mark, sticker and the HalalDiet structured data. Only enable it if your supplier is actually certified.
How does the open or closed status work?
Each location lists its hours, and a closing time earlier than the opening time means after midnight. The status is computed in the time zone set in site.ts, shows closing soon 45 minutes before close and refreshes every minute.
Can I use it without the dark look?
Yes. Night is the default and the header toggle switches to a designed day mode, remembered per visitor. Both palettes are tokens in src/styles/global.css, and removing the toggle keeps a single mode.
Are the photos included?
Yes, the photos in the demo are AI-generated for this template and ship with it, with the prompts in src/assets/PROMPTS.md. Replace them with your own food photography for a real shop.
When can I buy Kruncho?
Kruncho is coming soon. The live demo is complete; the template goes on sale at $29 shortly.
Can I use Kruncho for a client project?
Yes. The license covers personal and commercial projects, including client work. Reselling or redistributing the template itself is not allowed.
